Speech and Language Therapist

Are you an experienced Speech and Language Therapist loooking for work in the Wigan area? Do you have experience of making a differece in pupils lives?

If so Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a Primary School in Wigan, Manchester area who requires a Speech and Language Therapist to begin as soon as possible.

You will work alongside a fantastic and supportive team in delivering activities that are age appropriate and engaging to focus on the children's learning and development. As the schools Speech and Language Therapist you will be expected to jump straight in to the role and make an instant positive impact. We are looking for the right person who can work amongst a team to support students with SCLN in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. You will be both positive and patient with strong communication skills. You will be given the provisions and support to produce high quality lessons in line with the curriculum and be encouraged to be as creative as possible. We are looking for someone who would be available for either a short term or long term assignments. It has been made clear that the successful candidate must be fully qualified with a Speech and Language Therapist degree. In order to apply for this role you will need to have either a relevant SCLN qualification or S&L experience. You will need to be enthusiastic and looking to make an impact on the school and the students you will be supporting. Due to the nature of the position, experience and evidence of working within an SEN/SCLN setting is an advantage and proof of any further qualifications that relate would be beneficial. It is imperative that you can demonstrate positive outcomes when working with children. An ability to plan in line with the curriculum, whilst maintaining strong behaviour management skills in order to enhance a child's learning will help you excel in your new role.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
