Speech & Language SEN Teaching Assistant required in Scarborough, North Yorkshire

Are you interested in working with young pupils with Special Educational Needs such as SLCN, ASC, ADHD, GDD and SLD?

Do you have a particular interest in complex Speech, Language and Communication Needs?

Teaching Personnel are searching for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children with Autism, Development Delay, SLD, SpLD and SLCN. The pupils are aged between 3 and 16 years old, with classes up to 8 students; highly staffed with a number of Teaching Assistants.

This position is well suited for:

  • A Psychology Graduate that is keen to gain experience before pursuing a Masters or Doctorate. Similarly, this post is well suited for Aspiring Teachers, with the school and agency a-like, offering additional training.
  • An experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for SEN and helping raise attainment.

Job Details

  • SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Full Time or Part Time on a supply basis

  • £9 - £11 per hour

  • Experience working with SEN and Children

  • Resilient, Dedicated and Creative
  • Ability to commit to the needs of the pupils
  • Good knowledge of SEN (ASC, GDD, SLD etc)
