Job description

We are currently looking for a Speech and Language Specialist Teaching Assistant for a full time role.

The school is at the heart of its community and part of a Multi Academy Trust. Membership of the Academy Trust provides a range of opportunities for partnership working and continuing professional development with an outstanding secondary school and a network of primary schools within the locality.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be working across Nursery to Year 6 specialising in supporting the delivery of Speech and Language intervention. You will need to be able to show strong evaluative skills and be able to present impact to the Senior Leadership Team.

You will need to:

* have strong communication skills and be able to work proactively with outside agencies, parents and other members of staff

* have experience of delivering a wide range of speech and language programmes and intervention

* have the ability to create a wide range of resources specifically to support speech and language

* have experience of delivering EAL interventions/support

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
