Job description

This Secondary School in Cardiff need an LSA to work with a pupil that has speech and language issues. The school have asked for someone who has the patience to support with communication throughout all subjects. No prior experience is required however having an approachable and resilient personality is paramount.

The school have recently been praised for their attitude to developing pupils with challenging behaviour. The school has a specific unit dedicated to behaviour and this pupil will be educated between mainstream classes and the unit. The challenges in behaviour have been linked with the Speech and language challenges that have presented themselves to the individual.

Requirements of the Role:

  • Patient Manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to support and breakdown tasks
  • Support with the SENCO/ALNco

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
