Opportunity to support the needs of students with ASC, SLCN, SLD and Complex Needs

CPD courses available including Moving & Handling and Autism Awareness

Must be willing to offer personal care

Are you experienced in supporting students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs? Are you a graduate hoping to secure a position supporting students with communication needs?

I am currently seeking Speech & Language Therapy Assistants, or those with experience in this sector, to support students in SEN Schools who have communication difficulties and / or may be non-verbal. Some of the students have social and communication needs linked with Autism, therefore experience in this area is also highly sought after. I have various positions across Lancashire, working with various age groups.

The successful candidate will work to support the children in school to develop skills in the following areas:

  • Attention and listening.
  • Understanding of spoken language.
  • Use of spoken language (e.g. grammar, sentence building and story building).
  • Knowledge and use of vocabulary.
  • Articulation of speech.
  • Verbal reasoning/problem solving skills.
  • Social skills.
  • Conversational skills.
