specialist Teaching assistant

Job description

Teaching personnel are looking to recruit a teaching assistant/learning mentor to work with children who need additional support. These children are not currently in mainstream educaiton and need someone to work on a 1:1 or small group basis. The chosen candidate will need experience of working/supporting children with SEN in or out of education.

To be considered for this role you must energetic with a good sense of humour to keep the pupils engaged and interested in learning. You will have the ability to utilise a range of effective approaches to the management of difficult behaviour.

They pride themselves on their hands on approach to learning and use interactive technologies, excursions and creativity to keep their pupils engaged and focused on their learning. This is a rewarding position, yet challenging. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of children with Social Emotional and Mental Health either professionally or in the home environment.
