Job description

Due an increased demand for Learning Support Assistants (LSA's) and Teaching Assistants (TA's) to work with pupils with challenging behaviour and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties, we are currently seeking to recruit passionate individuals with experience working with young people in or out of a formal school setting.

Desired backgrounds include sports (coaching), psychology, youth work, art and design, music and training. Many of the young people our clients engage with have had gaps in their learning, lost confidence in their ability to succeed and struggle to engage. The schools committed to raising achievement and closing the gap and increasing their resilience and self-confidence. This post will play an essential role in supporting this ambition.

Our client schools are based in Exeter and require full time, long term commitment (term time only) and in turn offer supportive environments with continued professional development and the opportunity to go permanent in many instances. A full UK driving licence will be required.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
