Behaviour Support Mentor needed in Basingstoke! Full and Part time roles available, Monday to Friday: 08:30 - 15:30. Roles available to start ASAP or planned start in January 2019.

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of two specialised SEMH provisions catering for secondary pupils (boys and girls). The school are seeking Behaviour Support specialists who will be able to offer support to vulnerable students with emotional, social and mental health difficulties, within the Basingstoke area.

The national curriculum is delivered in a flexible and nurturing environment that recognises the needs of attending pupils; catering specifically to those operating at Key Stages 3 & 4 with a variety of needs, including: ADHD, Emotional anxiety, self-harm, disruptive, anti-social and disengaged behaviour. The primary function of this post is to work collaboratively with the team, supporting students in developing their confidence and self-esteem in order to increase school participation and generally cultivate greater aspirations to achieve. Confidence in behaviour management is key.

Individuals which are traditionally successful to this type of role will be confident and compassionate; and will have experience working with aspects of challenging behaviour or special educational needs.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
