SEN Teaching Assistant Wanted In Harrow

Location: Harrow

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Duration: Start as soon as possible – full time

Pay: £80 - 95 per day (paid on a weekly basis)

Summary of the School

This ambitious school is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN teaching assistant full time. The school community works together to build all their children’s confidence so they can fulfil their potential in their education. The successful candidate will have experience working with SEN children so they have a high-level understanding of the challenges that may come up in the environment they will be working in. On a daily basis you will support students in their learning and work closely with the class teacher and other members of staff to provide a positive and inclusive environment for them to thrive in their learning.

What does the job role involve?

  • Support SEN students with their learning and development
  • Be passionate about children’s education
  • Assist the class teacher with planning activities and lessons
  • Help to build on the positive learning environment
  • Observe the children’s behaviour and report anything to the class teacher
  • Be enthusiastic and build relationships with other members of staff and parents/carers
  • Follow health and safety procedures
  • Provide emotional support for students when they need it

Essential requirements and qualifications:

Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

Overseas criminal clearance

Experience working with SEN children

CACHE Level 3 (desirable)

Professional level of spoken and written English

Location of the school

The school is located 15 minutes from central Harrow. It is accessible via public transport with a short a 10-minute walk from South Harrow station or a 20-minute walk from Harrow-on-the-Hill station. There are also multiple busses that go near the area of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
