Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Are you looking for a new challenge in January? Do you have experience with Special Educational Needs and want to implement this into a school setting?
Teaching Personnel are the UK's leading Education Recruitment agency, and we are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work in Special Education Needs schools across the Basingstoke area.
We work with various SEN schools through all Key Stages, and the schools cater for a wide range of pupils with varying levels of Special Needs from Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, as well as Physical, Speech and Language, and Emotional Difficulties.
The suitable candidate will have previous experience working with Special Needs individuals, and have a nurturing and caring personality. The candidate will need to be flexible and adaptable to the needs and requirements of the school and its pupils, and not be afraid to get involved and use their initiative.
The schools like the successful candidate to get involved with the pupils and staff from the get-go, and have a genuine interest in Special Needs. You will need to have previous experience with SEN, whether this is personally or professionally, and a minimum requirement of GCSE Maths and English A-C.
Teaching Personnel receive requirements for both Day to Day supply as well as Long Term placements, so there is a lot of flexibility to suit you and your availability. Voluntary trial days are welcome at our schools, upon the completion of a mandatory vetting process.
If this sounds like something of interest, please do send your CV to or give me a call on 02380 836648 for more information.
