Job description

We are currently working with a specialist school in Sheffield that provides education for students with cognition and learning difficulties - including emotional, behavioural needs, profound and complex learning difficulties and pupils within the autistic spectrum.

We are looking for;

Relevant qualifications or experience in SEN with children or adults

Experience of working with young people or adults with Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties and / or ASC

Training in relevant learning/behaviour strategies e.g. Team Teach, Positive Handling

Be happy with personal care and feeding

A knowledge of Makaton and PEC would be an advantage but is not essential

Training in the follow would be an advantage but additional training can be provided; Moving and Handling, Makaton and Team Teach (Positive Handling Techniques)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
