Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a special educational needs school that cater for young people with learning and physical difficulties in Cosham. The school is seeking to recruit Teaching Assistants to help support the children with their learning. The school need people with an engaging personality to help support these young people. In this role the successful candidate will be expected to have flexibility to work with different abilities, and use their initiative to get involved with the pupil's and work independently.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in working with Special Needs and will therefore have the knowledge and ability to manage challenging behaviour in a way which still produces positive outcomes. Having a relevant qualification such as a Teaching Assistant, Health and Social Care, or Child Development degree will also enhance your application.

Work type will include working term time only, on a day to day basis. There is the opportunity for permanent employment. Trial days at the school are welcome, upon undergoing a vetting process.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
