Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Full Time


£16,900- £20,500

A specialist school in Maidenhead are in need of 8-10 new teaching assistants to work alongside primary and/or secondary pupils with Autism and associated learning disabilities including behaviour and speech language difficulties. The school have received a number of new referrals and require staff to support the new students 1:1 with individual intervention programmes.

The role require staff to observe, track progress of pupils and record the data on charts. Some pupils maybe non-verbal and may use a variation of PEC's and Makaton to communicate. Being experienced with PEC's and Makaton isn't essential as support and training will be provided if required.

All staff are expected to work Monday-Thursday (8.30am- 4.30pm) and Friday (8.30am - 3.30pm). Although all pupils leave at 3.30pm staffs stay on for training and personal development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
