Special Needs Teacher- Tameside- January start

Job description

A full time Teacher position commencing in January and running until the end of the academic year. This position initially runs until the end of the academic however, there could be potential for a longer term position.

The Setting is an 'Outstanding' Special School situated in Ashton, Tameside. The School is small Secondary Special Needs School which caters for pupils 11- 16 who have a range of needs which may include: complex learning difficulties, Autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy.

To be considered for this position the Teacher will have extensive experience working within a Special Needs School. The majority of pupils at this School have ASC, so ideally the Teacher will have an in-depth understanding of how to support pupils with ASC and significant experience working with pupils of this nature.

The role will involve planning and delivering lessons to pupils with SEN. As the Teacher you will be responsible for deploying School Support Staff effectively to assure that they can successfully support the development of pupils with SEN.
