Are you an experienced SEN or SEND Teacher who is looking for a new opportunity? Are you passionate about making a difference and working with special needs children?

Each one of Teaching Personnels offices is staffed with experienced SEN consultants and operates to the highest standards of selection and vetting, and dedicated to the support of our candidates.

We provide schools with compliant, fully qualified and experienced teachers and support staff.

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a SEN schools across the Dorset area. Our Schools provide quality education for children with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and Autism (ASD).

Special Needs Teacher

* Qualified Teacher Status.
* Previous experience of teaching students with SEN. (Autism, SLD, MLD, PMLD, Complex Needs)
* Aware of the procedure with regards to safeguarding in a school environment.
* Reliable & punctual
* Ability to develop rapport with SEN individuals
* Playful, patient and calm with a desire to get the best out of individuals with SEN.
* Ability to deal with the physical challenges of the job

Any experience of Makaton, Team Teach or MAPA is advantageous but not essential.

* You will be responsible for teaching small classes of around 6-8 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). (Autism, SLD, MLD, PMLD, Complex Needs)

* You will use resources to help each student understand and engage in lessons.

* You will have additional support in the classroom from other support staff.

* You will plan and deliver effective lessons using the UK curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
