About the role:
Teaching Personnel are currently looking for the right individual to take on an exciting and rewarding role in a Plymouth based school.
The school caters to students in Primary and Secondary, with complex special needs. Working full time days or on a supply basis, you will be needed to help provide support for students and also be a major part of developing their social and emotional well being.
The role is highly rewarding and allows the candidate to work in a calm and patient environment, which works hard to ensure that students get the best support, so that they can have a tailored learning experience, which meets their specific individual needs.
You will often work on a 1:1 basis or within a small group, where you will support during activities and lessons.
The Successful candidate:
- Calm, supportive and patient
- A strong background in SEN, Physical disabilities, Learning difficulties
- Experience with care work and 1:1 support
- Any experience with MAPA, Team Teach, Makaton, Special support.
- Backgrounds in mental health, special needs, care etc.
- Willing to jump straight in and get involved
- Have relevant qualifications

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £44, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.
