Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced SEN Support Assistant to work with KS2 - 4 pupils in a school in Horbury, Wakefield. We are looking for someone who can commit to a full time, long term role from 8:00 to 16:30, five days a week.

The right candidate will need to be enthusiastic, not afraid of a challenge and assertive. You will be working with children and young people with a range of diverse and complex special needs such as ASC, ADHD, PDA and Attachment Disorder. This school is an alternative provision that aims to make it's pupils as independent and employable as possible. You will sometimes be dealing with challenging behaviour so Team Teach, MAPA or an equivalent qualification is a must.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
