A popular & growing special school located in Cardiff is currently seeking to appoint a committed, caring, enthusiastic & experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and hard working team.

Your role will involve supporting young people aged between 3-19 years old in groups and on a 1:1 basis, who have a range of complex needs including Social, Emotional, Mental Health, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder & Autistic Spectrum Disorder. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed & experienced SEN TA or graduate with the right level of voluntary experience. Your knowledge of the needs of the young people with ASD and the understanding and creativity to enable young people with complex behaviours to enjoy & achieve will make this a very rewarding post.

For this position, you will be required to have excellent interpersonal skills, be an effective communicator and be resilient & flexible, as building relationships with the young people is essential for this post. You will also be a team player & adaptable as the post will be varied supporting pupils wherever the need arises.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
