SEN Teaching Assistant - Cardiff

An fantastic SEN school in Cardiff are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated and supportive team to work within their specialist provision. The child needs a passionate and enthusiastic teaching assistant to assist with general school life and help to stay on task to achieve the best learning outcome.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be happy to learn that the school's ethos incorporates principles of structure, continuity and security to ensure that the pupil will be able to maximise their personal, social and educational development. The school use an inclusive approach with an emphasis on personalised educational strategies as well as a blended therapeutic approach to improve social communication.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant for this Cardiff school should be an experienced SEN practitioner with a solid working history or a particularly focused and resilient graduate who has previous experience working with SEN children either in a volunteer or paid role and is able to show your passion for working in education. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a bright individual who can develop relationships with staff and pupils that ensure you can make the most of your placement.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will involve you working throughout the school. Day-to-day, you will be listening to the advice of a SENCO who will lead your development and work hard to help you progress.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
