Special Needs Learning Support Assistant for Autism

Job description

We are looking for an experienced teaching assistant, to support a small group of pupils with Special Educational Needs. Ideally we need teaching assistant with SEN experience in moderate to severe learning needs, hopefully in a special needs setting but it could be in a mainstream school.

The successful SEN teaching assistant should have some SEN knowledge of:

  • Autism (non-verbal learners)
  • PECs
  • Intensive interaction

This school has dedicated teachers, and SEN Teaching Assistants looking to motivate pupils, helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally.

This is a full time role Monday- Friday (8.30-3.30) in Bray (Maidenhead).

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
