Looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant role...?

We are currently advertising for an SEN Teaching Assistant role in the Milton Keynes area. You will be working with secondary aged children aged 11-19 on the Autistic Spectrum. The school provides appropriate specialised learning environments that minimise the effects of dual impairment and maximise the opportunities for learning and consider the impact of the environment on the learning of the HI/VI pupil. The school has a policy of total communication so that every child's individual communication skills are recognised as an integral part of their educational life.

As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant you'll be working with young people who need extra support, or require an advanced programme of learning in order to reach their full educational potential. You will be teaching either individuals or small groups of pupils within, or outside the class. A key aspect of working in this field is identifying individual needs and being responsible for creating a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment.
