Job description

A Special Education Needs (SEN) School in central Southampton are looking for a SEN teacher to start after half or at Easter. The school cater for secondary pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs including:

  • Autism
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
  • SEMH (Social and Emotional Mental Health)
  • Dyslexia
  • Some Physical Disabilities

The ideal teacher would have experience teaching in a similar SEN school however mainstream teachers with a strong interest in Special Educational Needs would be considered, ideally Primary trained due to the low level of the pupils.

The school are looking for someone full time and permanently however they do often book on supply so if you were just looking for part time or day to day work then please still send your CV to apply.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
