Spanish and French Teacher - Richmond

January Start - £120 - £225 a day

Are you a full qualified teacher seeking a new, part time role starting in January?

Do you hold a PGCE or QTS?

If you can answer yes to one of the above questions, then this may be the position for you!

We are currently seeking a Spanish and French Teacher for a highly rated school in the Richmond area to begin in January. The school prides itself for the quality of education delivered to its students and the school is looking for a teacher with strong subject knowledge who is able to raise the attainment of their students, as well as creating challenging and innovative lesson plans.

As a MFL Teacher you will be required to work along side the Head of Department to plan and deliver lessons for KS3 through to KS5 students. A desirable candidate will have the ability to quickly adapt to the school's culture and ethos and motivate and inspire the students within their class.

Job Purpose:

  • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum.
  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
  • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
  • To contribute to raising students attainment.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • To assist in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, marking policies and teaching strategies in the subject area.
  • To contribute to the subject area's Development Plan and its implementation.
  • To plan and prepare courses and lessons.
  • To ensure the effective/efficient deployment of classroom support
  • To work as a member of a designated team and to contribute positively to effective working relations within the academy

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Graduate in relevant subject and DfE recognised Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Successful teaching experience at secondary level.
  • Knowledge of National curriculum requirements at KS3 - KS5.
  • Understanding of the importance of having high expectations for all students, both of behaviour and academic achievement.
  • Knowledge and experience of writing lesson plans, developing resources and assessing students work.

Skills and Abilities:

  • The ability to work as part of a team and to develop and maintain positive relationships with teaching and other support staff.
  • Good level of ICT skills.
  • The ability to create a motivating and safe learning environment for all students.
  • The ability to communicate positively with parents/carers and where appropriate outside agencies in a way that facilitates effective links between home and school.
  • Good communication skills both writing and speaking.
  • Ability to lead and manage own work effectively and take responsibility for own professional development.

Additional Experience:

  • Experience of working with Special Educational Needs - Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties.
  • Safeguarding Course Certificate.
  • Additional CPD courses.
