1:1 Behaviour management TA (Teaching Assistant)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist secondary SEMH provision, catering specifically for female pupils at the secondary age level. This provision is very small and is focused specifically to providing intervention and emotional support to 8 - 12 pupils; the sessions are conducted on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis with TA's and pupils. The school is based in central Southampton and is accessible by both public transport and personal modes of travel with a free car park available on site.

Pay scale for this role, dependent on experience and qualifications: £9.00 - £10.50 per hour

Applicants for this position should be experienced working with complex behaviour or challenging individuals; this could be across a number of settings, including:

  • Youth Work
  • Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
  • Mentoring/Mentorship
  • Coaching

Minimum requirements for applicants include:

  • DBS on the update service (Child workforce only) or be willing to go through the application process
  • GCSE English and Maths - (A-C)
  • Availability - Monday to Friday, between 08.30 and 15.30.
  • Ability to provide minimum of two references (professional and character)
