Special needs support worker bank staff work available
Are you looking for part time work a few days a week?
Can you support children with special needs including autism, speech and language difficulties or physical disabilities?
Are you local to Southwark/Lewisham/Bromley/Croydon?
You will be covering staff absence in up to 4 different SEN schools, dependent on your location and ability to travel to these schools.
- Southwark - this is a secondary school for children with severe learning difficulties, most students are physically mobile but have autism, Down syndrome or other speech and language difficulties
- Lewisham - this is a primary school for children with either autism or PMLD - some students have physical disabilities and are wheelchair users
- Bromley - this is a school for both primary and secondary students with mild to moderate autism, most students are verbal and can access the main national curriculum levels
- Croydon - this is a primary school for children with moderate to severe autism, most students are non-verbal and will use PECs and Makaton
I am looking for people who are flexible and are happy to be called for work as and when the schools require you to go and work each week. This kind of work will start to become available from the second or third week back in September and will continue throughout the rest of the academic year.
Benefits:
- You can maintain your own diary to show your availability for work - only work when you want to!
- Provide support in different schools, keeping your job varied and interesting
- Teaching Personnel will be your direct employer so we will pay a national insurance and a pension contribution for you on top of your daily pay rate
- Daily pay rates are between £60 and £80 per day, dependent on experience
- You will be working in state of the art school buildings, which can offer dark and light sensory rooms, hydrotherapy pools, outdoor learning including forest schools, and rebound therapy
- Career progression - it is likely that you will be able to secure a regular or even permanent role in the future if this is what you are looking for
