Do you want to work with an experienced and friendly staff team?

A specialised school in High Wycombe are currently looking for a full time support assistant. The school caters for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, and Autism. Pupils are aged between 2 and 19, with a Nursery, Primary and Secondary department.

The school offers small classes, typically less than 10 pupils per class, working within large teams of support staff and additional health care professionals. The school are looking for someone who will have a flexible approach and be able to adapt in different circumstances including the possibility of moving across teams or school sites.

The successful candidate will:

Have experience supporting pupils with PMLD/SLD

  • Commit to helping each child to reach their individual potential
  • Be able to support pupils in developing practical and social skills
  • Have a positive outlook and share an enthusiasm for the job

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
