  • Opportunity to undertake training courses in Autism Awareness and Team Teach

Are you experienced in supporting students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs? Are you a graduate hoping to secure a position supporting students with communication needs? I am currently seeking Speech & Language Therapy Assistants to support students in this area and have various positions across Lancashire, working with various age groups.

The successful applicant will work to support children in the classroom on a small group and 1:1 basis in developing skills in the following areas:

•Attention and listening.

•Understanding of spoken language.

•Use of spoken language (e.g. grammar, sentence building and story building).

•Knowledge and use of vocabulary.

•Articulation of speech.

•Verbal reasoning/problem solving skills.

•Social skills.

•Conversational skills.

Candidates with experience supporting students with ASC are also highly sought after as students with Autism sometimes face difficulties in social communication.
