Primary Speech & Language Assistant - Liverpool - LSA - TA - Learning Support Assistant

An exciting position has recently become available at a well-equipped primary school located in North London. This Speech & Language post requires an eager and creative individual who is ready and excited to start making an impact in a new environment.

To be successful in your application you must be a recent graduate who has experience working with SEN children. The school want to meet applicants who have a solid understanding of their specialist subject and a natural ability to form and keep long lasting pupil/teacher/parent relationships. You will possess a clear and confident manner of speech and the ability to inspire those around you. You must have the skills to confidently deal with and defuse any challenging situations and show a commitment to inclusion. You will be working with children throughout the school who have had difficulties with their Speech and need additional support and also working alongside children who have EAL.

About the Role

As a Primary Teaching Assistant -Speech & Language your role will involve you joining the school in a general role, not assigned to any particular class or department. Your responsibilities will include working hard from day one to develop and improve your teaching, you will be able to draw on the advice and input of a dedicated mentor who will be an experienced member of the existing teaching staff. You will be keeping up the schools ethos of a creative classroom is best and providing SEN pupils with academic and personal support.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
