- Full or part time hours available, you can manage your own diary working across a number of schools in a cluster in South Sheffield
- Competitive rate of pay for fully trained and student therapists - we can provide the prospect of a direct contract with the school trust
- Full access to CPD across the cluster of schools and Team Teach, Moving and Handling and NASEN with Teaching Personnel
This post is delivering speech and language interventions across school from FS - Y6.
What you need to be a Speech & Language Therapist:

•HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist
•Use of own vehicle and current driving licence - this post could be across multiple school sites in Sheffield
•Working knowledge of a wide range of successful augmentative and alternative communication systems.
•Experience working with children who could have learning disabilities.
•A positive approach and enthusiasm to make a difference.
•Self-motivating and able to organise own caseload
•The ability to adapt to working with a variety of children of all ages.
•Commitment to own continuous professional development and ability to learn new skills.
•An ability and willingness to work hands on with children who may present behaviour which challenges.
•Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and present information to others.
•Good skills in record keeping, written presentation and IT skills.
Desirable Speech & Language Therapist experience:
•Regional Makaton
•Knowledge of Communication programmes (e.g. Widget) and communication apps.
•Good understanding of current national school policies and procedures related to supporting children with learning difficulties
•Experience working in an environment which promotes Positive Behaviour Support and non-aversive practice.
