Job description

An SEN secondary school in Sidcup would like to advertise an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant looking for a new position in January 2019.

The school has most recently been graded as 'good' by Ofsted, and the report says that 'pupils like coming to school because they enjoy positive relationships with staff'.

The school caters for children who have complex special educational needs and disabilities including those with verbal and non-verbal autism. They are looking for a learning support assistant who is dedicated and committed to improving the experience of students in a small key stage 3 class.

The role:

  • Full time, long term, starting on 14th January
  • Monday - Friday, 08:30am - 15:30pm, term time only
  • Support a class of students with complex needs, some of whom are wheelchair bound
  • Provide personal care through the day - assist with toileting and feeding at break time
  • Provide support for sensory development
  • Work alongside speech and language therapists and occupational therapists
