Graduate teaching assistant - full time from September in a large Manchester school, ideal for aspiring secondary school teachers.

Our partner secondary school in North Manchester have 3 vacancies in September as a graduate teaching assistant within their support staff team on a full time basis. Ideally you'll have a degree within one of the core subjects and be content for a career teaching your subject as a secondary school teacher. This is a one year position to work as a graduate teaching assistant and prepare for teacher training in September 2019 within your chosen subject.

The role of graduate teaching assistant will require you to;

• Work directly with children under achieving in specific subjects
• Support the new Year 7 cohort and prepare them for secondary school life
• Follow guidance from teachers and support in lessons (mainly core subjects)
• Understand and follow the schools behaviour/discipline policy
• Take part in training courses, continually complete your own self learning

Situated in north Manchester, this is a full time position for the academic year with a view to then joining the schools teacher training programme in September 2019. This is a large RC faith school with well over 1200 pupils on roll, facilities throughout are extremely modern and pupils respond to the high level of teaching delivered throughout the subjects.
