SEN specialist TA – ASC Experience

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of an excellent school based in Hillingdon, the school itself pride themselves on providing their students with the best staff and educational quality. Being based in Hillingdon the school is easily accessible and focuses on its multicultural community. Providing pupils with the chance to grow and pave their way to become a positive citizen of the community.

The role would be on a 1:1 basis supporting a young pupil in year 1. The ideal candidate will express SEN experience with children (does not need to be an educational based experience). The ideal SENTA would be a role model for the child, paving a structure for a child to be able to be supported within a mainstream setting. The role itself is incredibly rewarding and fulfilling whilst having the opportunity to make a real difference!

The ideal candidate:

  • ASC experience (Either in an educational setting or personal environment)
  • Good role model with good command of the English language
  • Youth work experience
  • A degree in psychology, sociology or criminology is ideal, but not necessary!
  • Be calm, passionate and understanding
  • Use initiative, the ability to adapt and to be inventive when dealing with different needs

 

Previous experience of working with Autism, ADHD, EBD, PMLD, etc. is favourable however; overall experience with working with SEN children will be taken into account. Additional training for SEN is great but not crucial as we are able to offer course such as, NASEN, Autism Awareness Training and Read, Write Inc. Phonics Training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
