Senior Teaching Assistant

A highly regarded college in the Chorlton area is looking to recruit a senior Educational Support Assistant who can take on a Teaching Assistant role with additional responsibilities. The successful Teaching Assistant will be specifically supporting within the college’s well-resourced inclusion department, focussing on providing Literacy and English intervention and tutoring.

This support role will suit an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone who has fulfilled a similar role or has a particularly transferable skillset. The college is outstanding in terms of its Ofsted rating, highly regarded and over-subscribed within the Manchester area making it a highly sought-after place of work.

Reporting to the Inclusion Manager and Head of SEN, this role will include supporting students who require additional assistance with their Literacy and English skills. This can be supporting students undertaking their A-levels, BTEC qualifications and also students within the college’s Pathways to Independence department.

• Pay will be dependent upon confirmed hours which are likely to be 8 – 4pm each day (1-hour lunch)
  • GBP1400 - GBP1500 pay range
