Senior Science Technician – Wirral

Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced Senior Science Technician to support a thriving mainstream secondary school in the Wirral. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and organised technician who is confident in managing a busy science department and supporting high-quality teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4.
Position Details:
- Start: January
- Location: Wirral
- Pay: £95–£125 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
- Contract: Full-time, school-based role
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing, organising and maintaining equipment, chemicals, and resources for science lessons
- Supporting practical demonstrations and experiments across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Ensuring all health, safety, and safeguarding procedures are adhered to at all times
- Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting teaching staff to deliver engaging and safe practical sessions
- Overseeing junior technicians (if applicable)
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Science Technician or Senior Technician in a secondary school
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety procedures
- Excellent organisational, communication and teamwork skills
- A science-related qualification (desired)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
