Teaching Personnel are currently in partnership with a school based in South Sheffield, who are currently looking for a SENDCO to work across their through school. We are looking for someone who is an experienced SENDCO, or looking to take the next step in their teaching career.

The Role

The school are looking for someone who has a good understanding of the needs of students with SEND and who is able to ensure objectives to develop SEND provision and practice are appropriately reflected. You will monitor progress of these objectives, supporting teachers and pupils and working with parents to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning in relation to supporting special educational needs. Work alongside key staff to bridge any barriers to learning for students with SEND. Ensure that there is early and effective assessment and monitoring across school. Contribute to the development of other staff members, leading staff meetings and INSET days. You will also maintain and develop resources, co-ordinate their deployment and monitor their effectiveness in meeting the objectives of SEND policies. 

The School 

The school is based in South Sheffield, with good transport links. Benefiting from a new school building, there are fresh new resources available to staff and children. As the school is a through school, you will be working with children from EYFS to Secondary age - so you will need to adapt your approach.

• Experienced SENDCO looking for full time work

• Able to work with a large staff team and support their development and understanding of SEND 
• Work with parents, other professionals and the children to monitor the effectiveness of objectives set out 
• Assess the effectiveness of the whole school approach to SEND
