Full-Time | Long-Term | Day-to-Day & Temp-to-Perm

A vibrant and progressive SEND provision in Leeds is seeking a motivated SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with Autism, communication differences, sensory needs, physical disabilities or SEMH. The school offers exceptional training opportunities and a strong, collaborative team culture.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support pupils across semi-formal and formal learning pathways

  • Assist with sensory regulation and communication support

  • Implement behaviour plans using trauma-informed approaches

  • Support mobility, personal care or feeding where required

  • Work with teachers, SALTs, OTs and support teams

  • Help pupils access learning through tailored resources and routines

Ideal Candidate

✔ Experience in SEND, care, residential, or relevant school settings
✔ Moving & Handling training is a bonus (not essential)
✔ Comfortable building relationships with pupils who need patience and consistency
✔ DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
✔ Able to commit to full-time work Monday–Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
