SEND Teaching Assistant job- Plymouth

Teaching Personnel are looking for SEND Teaching Assistants who are available and looking for work from April 2019. We are working in partnership with a SEN school in Plymouth and due to their current intake, the SLT are looking for a number of people to work on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis with pupils with a variety of special educational needs. We are looking for people who have experience of working with pupils with PMLD, other complex needs, those on the autistic spectrum, SEMH and other learning, emotional or behavioural difficulties. The role is full time- 8:30-3:30, 5 days per week. It is also term time only.

The ideal candidate MUST:

  • Have a full, clean driving licence with access to a car daily
  • Have an NVQ L3 or above in Health and Social Care or similar
  • Be available immediately with ability to carry out a long-term role
  • Be passionate about working with children and supporting learning and welfare
