Are you a patient, supportive, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for helping children with additional needs? A welcoming school in Guisborough is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide tailored support to pupils who need it most.

Position: SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-time / Long-term

About the Role:

• Support pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis or within small groups

• Assist with learning activities, emotional regulation, and behaviour support

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans

• Adapt resources and approaches to meet each child's needs

• Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where all pupils can thrive

• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience supporting children with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties)

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

• A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

• Flexibility and a proactive attitude to meet the varying needs of pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
