A warm, inclusive specialist school in Bradford is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of needs including ASC, MLD, SEMH and complex learning profiles. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, proactive and confident working with children who need structure, consistency and emotional support.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and group support tailored to individual learning plans

• Assist with communication strategies (visual supports, Makaton, PECS)

• Support behaviour regulation and promote positive routines

• Work closely with class teachers, therapists and the SENCO

• Help create a safe, nurturing and structured learning environment

• Support personal care or mobility needs when required

Ideal Candidate

✔ Experience in SEND, schools, care, youth work or similar
✔ Confident supporting behaviour and emotional needs
✔ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
✔ Reliable, patient, and able to use initiative
✔ Full-time availability

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
