Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with an OFSTED 'Good' school in Sunderland to recruit a teaching assistant to work in their Key Stage 3 and 4 classes with students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The role is looking to commence as soon as possible until the end of the academic year, however there is strong likelihood that a permanent contract will be offered to the right candidate.

The school has a strong focus on three areas, academic achievement, preparing for work life and becoming active and responsible citizens. The candidate will be responsible for helping students meet these goals, and preparing them for life after school. You will be supporting in lessons not just for academic qualifications but also for life skills and employability, you will be a strong role model for the students and passionate about making a difference to their education.

In this role, you could be earning up to £65 per day. A Team Teach qualification is highly desirable for this position, due to the nature of the behaviour in the school, Teaching Personnel have an upcoming Team Teach course that is available to our candidates at a discounted rate!
