The Head Teacher of an OFTSED 'Outstanding' SEND provision in Bedale is currently searching for a Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with students; commencing after the February half term on a full time basis.

The role will involve supporting students within the classroom on a 1:1 basis, the school supports students from ages 5 through to 16 and you will be woring specifically with Key Stage 2 and 3. Each student in the school has an education health and care plan and the school caters for a variety of special educational needs, including social emotional and mental health as well as profound and multiple learning difficulties. The school has excellent facilities that support assistants will have access to within the position, including a sensory room. There is also a focus on sports within the school and they have regular visits from sports professionals to inspire the students!

Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with profound and multiple learning difficulties. You will be passionate about improving the lives of young people with SEN and have a kind and nurturing personality. We accept candidates from a variety of backgrounds, whether it is from education, youth work or care - this role is ideal for someone in a care background looking to sidestep into education. Teaching Personnel can offer support assistant's competitive pay rates of up to £350 per week, for the right candidate longer term rates can be negotiated on your behalf.
