Job description

SEN Tutor – Henley-on-Thames

Location: Henley-on-Thames & surrounding areas
Pay: £20–£30 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Part-time / Flexible
Contract: Freelance / Self-employed

About the Role

We’re seeking skilled and compassionate SEN Tutors to support children and young people with a range of special educational needs including ASD, ADHD, PDA, SEMH, and more.

You’ll deliver 1:1 tuition in English and/or Maths, either at primary or secondary level, helping students re-engage with learning through tailored, student-led teaching.

Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or 3+ years’ SEN tutoring experience

  • Experience working with SEND (ASD, ADHD, PDA, etc.)

  • Ability to assess, plan, and deliver a personalised scheme of work

  • Confident supporting learners in Maths and English

  • Comfortable working independently with learners who may be disengaged or vulnerable

Desirable

  • Experience with EHCPs or working with local authorities

  • Training in trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches

  • Access to a vehicle for local travel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
