SEN Tutors in Oxfordshire & Swindon | £20–£30/hr 

Location: Oxfordshire & Swindon (in-person support, local travel may be required)
Pay: £20–£30 per hour (dependent on experience & qualifications)
Contract: Freelance / Part-time / Flexible hours

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with additional needs?

We are seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Tutors to join our growing team, supporting students across Oxfordshire and Swindon. You’ll work with young people who have a range of Special Educational Needs including ASD, ADHD, PDA, SEMH, and more — either on a 1:1 basis or in small group settings.

What You'll Do

  • Assess students’ needs and learning styles

  • Plan and deliver tailored, engaging lessons in Maths and/or English

  • Support learners at primary or secondary level

  • Use creative and adaptive strategies to build confidence, independence, and progress

  • Liaise with parents/carers and external professionals where needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) OR minimum 3 years of SEN tutoring experience

  • Proven success working with learners with SEND (e.g., ASD, ADHD, PDA)

  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum

  • Ability to create and adapt a personalised scheme of work

  • Confident working independently and managing behaviour positively

  • Flexible, reliable, and responsive to learners’ emotional and academic needs

Desirable

  • Knowledge of EHCPs and experience working with Local Authorities

  • Specialist qualifications or training in SEND, behaviour, or inclusion

  • Driving licence and willingness to travel locally

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
