Do you have experience working with pupils with SEN issues?

Teaching Personnel is currently working with a primary school based in Bury who are looking for a teaching assistant to work across the Key Stage 2 classes. The school has a high percentage of children whose families are on Early Help Plans or have multi agency support and is looking for an experienced SEN TA to support the children within the school. The head is looking for a Teaching Assistant to come in and help raise attainment with pupils who are struggling in class.

The primary school has also found low engagement in enrichment activities at home and in school. This has coursed low attainment in certain individuals who have SEMH needs. They are looking for a teaching assistant to push these children in the classroom and manage behavioural needs, turning negative behaviours into a positive outcome.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous SEN or SEMH experience
  • A flexible and creative approach to learning
  • Experience utilizing SEN and behavioural strategies for structured learning

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
