SEN Teaching Assistants Required in Welling-Kent

A large secondary located in Welling (SE London/Kent) have a requirement for a number Teaching Assistants to join their support department in post February half term.

Do you have previous experience working with students aged 11-16 years? Are you wishing to pursue a career in Secondary education? If so, this post will provide you with an opportunity to enhance your future PGCE application, whilst building your confidence in a Secondary school setting.

  • Providing support to identified students on a 1:1 basis to raise attainment
  • Cover pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher
  • Attractive pay rates between £60-£85 per day dependant on experience

This is an Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' secondary school with over 1100 student's currently on roll.

The position of teaching assistant will include working directly with pupils identified across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 who require additional support. You may also be responsible for covering a range of lessons in the absence of the class teacher, building upon classroom presence and behaviour management skills.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
