Job description

We are seeking SEN Teaching assistants immediately in Walthamstow for long term and ad hoc daily requirements in a special school that caters for pupils with Autism , behavioural needs and complex SEN.

The school is a vibrant and forward looking school that are looking to appoint SEN Teaching assistants to become part of a committed team ,working to enhance the education and well being of their pupils who have Autism, behavioural needs and profound multiple learning difficulties.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have passion or experience to work with SEN pupils. This will be well suited to someone who has previous experience with SEN or those who have worked in the care sector, youth work or mental health facilities . Support with nappy changing and intimate care may be required . Manual handling or hoisting training would be desirable but is not essential.

The successful applicant's appointment will be subject to satisfactory references and clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
