SEN Teaching Assistants needed!

Job description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for Teaching Assistants who specialise in supporting students with Autism, Complex Learning Difficulties and Moderate/Severe Learning Difficulties to work in mainstream primary schools across Coventry & Warwickshire.

The schools we work with are mainstream primary schools who cater for children with a wide range of special educational needs.


The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience of working with special needs
- Be flexible, adaptable and creative to support a variety of students with complex health needs
- Have recent Moving and Handling/TeamTeach/MAPA training or equivalent.
- Be experienced and knowledgeable using Makaton and PECS
- Be confident to differentiate
- Be confident and comfortable with personal care requirements


Any additional training is desirable e.g. Tracheostomy/Medication/Epilepsy/PEG Feeding, however this is NOT essential.
We are looking for full time candidates but will also consider candidates who are only looking for part time work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
