SEN Teaching Assistants needed!

Job description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for Teaching Assistants who specialise in supporting students with Complex Learning Difficulties, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties to work in SEN Schools across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, in particular the NG10 area. The schools we work with cater for children between the ages of three and nineteen who experience a wide range of special education needs.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience of working with special needs
- Be flexible, adaptable and creative to support a variety of students with complex health needs
- Have recent Moving and Handling/TeamTeach/MAPA training or equivalent.
- Be experienced and knowledgable using Makaton and PECS
- Be confident to differentiate
- Be confident and comfortable with personal care requirements

Any additional training is desirable e.g. Tracheostomy/Medication/Epilepsy/PEG Feeding, however this is NOT essential.
We are looking for a full time candidate but will also consider candidates who are only looking for part time work.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
