SEN Teaching Assistants

Do you have experience supporting those with SEN and Learning Difficulties?

Are you looking to use your skills and experience in a school environment?

Teaching Personnel are working with a mainstream School in Lambeth that are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to start as soon as possible. The school caters for Primary pupils, all of which will have an Education Health Care Plan. The pupils have a variety needs such as:

  • Communication and interaction needs
  • Speech and language needs
  • Autistic spectrum needs
  • Social, emotional and mental health difficulties
  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
  • Oppositional defiant disorder
  • Conduct Disorder

Candidates are required to work 8.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday.

The ideal candidate would have some of the following:

  • Teaching Assistant experience
  • Experience working with special educational needs
  • Youth support work experience
  • A Psychology qualification
  • Experience working in a nursery
  • Personal experience with special educational needs
  • Care work experience
  • Experience as a nanny or au pair
  • Residential support work experience
  • Outreach work experience
  • Physical restraint training (e.g. Team Teach)
