Job description

We are looking for a professional and patient Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work with one of our schools based in Bournemouth. This role requires you working closely with a Year 1 child who has Speech and Language Difficulties and is also Autistic. In addition, you will be reporting to the SENCO who will set your timetable and give you past reports and detailed assessments that will help you familiarise with the child's needs and current targets.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • A Degree Level or a Teaching Assistant Qualification
  • At least 1+ years of experience working with SEN such as Autism (ASD) or Learning Difficulties
  • Experience following IEP's or personalised plans/programmes for special educational needs
  • An ability to use adequate resources to effectively differentiate classroom work and activities for students
  • An ability to maintain a positive relationship with students, staff and parents
